'Cool during the hot weather, but air conditioners didn't work that great. Good location. Quiet. Beds very squeaky.'

Sue Romero from Houston, US; June 2012:
'good location and size, need more handtowels and washcloths; bathroom plumbing needs work as tub faucet drips - sofa bed is not comfortable, need chairs in the living room '

Paula Beck from Houston, USA; May 2012:
'The Garden Apartment was perfect for our family. It was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located just a short walk from Central Park in one direction and plenty of shops and restaurants in the other. We'll be back soon and would love to stay in one of your apartments again. '

Kay Martinez from san antonio, USA; May 2012:
'This was my second stay at the Garden Apartment. It fits my needs perfectly, but I've always loved the Upper West Side. It's a quiet, friendly neighborhood. Easy subway access to midtown. The immediate upstairs apartment must also be a rental, also with hardwood floors, 'cause there's quite a bit of noise. We thought they might be tap dancing. Still, I plan to stay here every time I come to NYC.'

Betty Burns from Knoxville, USA; March 2012:
'Perfect location for a family with two children ages 5 and 8. Spent 3 nights in the apt. Clean, beds comfortable, quiet. Would stay there again'

Jeffrey Snelgar from Perth, Australia; January 2012:
'We had an excellent time at the apartment over New Years 2012. It's location is unbeatable, only half a block from Strawberry Field in Central Park and easy to reach several subway lines with a couple of minute walk. The apartment had all the amenities that we could possibly need and was comfortable. The only minor negative comments are that the main bed is a little hard and squeaky, but not a reason not to stay here. The second bedroom with the pull out bed extension was VERY comfy! During our stay we highlighted a couple of issues that needed fixing ie. front door lock needed fixing and Veronica had it fixed by the end of the day. Very prompt and professional. Much appreciated. Would highly recommend to anyone.'

'Veronica, We just returned from spending nine nights at the Garden Apartment over Christmas. This is the second year in a row we have been fortunate enough to stay there. Thank you for all your help in arranging our stay. The apartment is comfortable, spacious and feels like home to us now. The location is perfect, the neighborhood is a neighborhood, and is welcoming. Everything we needed was nearby. We hope to be able to return next year. Cris and Michael'

'We stayed in the Garden Apartment over Thanksgiving while in NYC to see our son in the Parade. We were immensely happy with the apartment! The space was great, very comfortable, close to everything AND the garden was an added bonus. It's also very quiet! We would recommend this to anyone, and definitely plan to visit again!!! Thanks so much for the great week to remember Veronica! We appreciate it very much!'

David McClay from Toorak Gardens, Australia; September 2011:
'Great location next to Central Park and easy to get around with subway options. Check in arrangements worked well but traveller's cheques were inconvenient compared to credit card. Apartment is comfortable and secure. Bedroom is quite narrow and tight. Outdoor area flows well from apartment and is a nice retreat. Veronica is very accommodating and easy to deal with.'

Cass L from Park City. UT, US; August 2011:
'The apartment was perfectly located for our needs. Being a basement apt it was very dark, but we spent little time there during daylight hours, so not a problem for us. If a renter has small children I imagine the contained outdoor area would be a life saver. Some of the furnishings are lovely, while others need updating. The towels and linens are very nice, but bedsprings could use some updating. The only true discomfort we had was cooling the apt during our hot, humid late July stay. There is AC but too loud for sleeping. I think in other months, opening the screen door to the patio would be adequate for fresh air. One couldn't ask for a more quiet or better location. '

Alice D from Houston, USA; June 2011:
'We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Apartment. It was in a fantastic location, close to just about everything we did in NYC, regardless of whether we took a cab, subway or walked! I definitely recommend it, including when traveling with children.'

Charles Dege from Palm Springs, USA; May 2011:
'the apt was very clean, the location was perfect....The people up stairs are a bit noisey...I cold not always get on the computer....the line comes from the hotel next door and they were down for 4 days....'

Mike Mills from Phoenix, USA; May 2011:
'The Garden Apartment was great for our family's week long Spring Break adventure to NYC, accommodating three kids (18,15,8) and my wife and I nicely. The location is ideal, and safe. Central Park is next door, and two major subway lines are nearby, enabling you to get anywhere with a cheap Metropass. The apartment is modest and older, but adequate given our main purpose of visiting the sites. A couple of problems arose and Veronica had them fixed promptly. The floors are creaky when walking to the one bathroom at night, as are the floors above you, so be prepared. WiFi and TV were a bonus for the kids.'

Antoine COCHONNEAU from CINTEGABELLE, France; May 2011:
'Nice appartment, good place in NYC. The only (small) problem: not enough plates, glasses, and muggs for 6 persons. We really enjoyed our stay. '

Petra from Amsterdam, The Netherlands; February 2011:
'We very much enjoyed our stay and would defenitely recommend this apartment! Well organised, quiet and clean. '

Heather Mellish from Boulder, COlorado; February 2011:
'Great location. The rooms are a good size. The decor needs a definite refresh as does the bathroom however you can't beat the location, the proximity to the subway and the charm. We were there during the big snow storm and it couldn't have been an easier commute to the subway, museums and the park. The bedroom that leads to the outside patio is very cute. It had everything you would need. I would recommend. Just make sure the upstairs neighbors are quiet. they were VERY loud.'

Cris and Michael Cullinan from Wilsonville, OR, USA; January 2011:
'Veronica, We just wanted to let you know that our stay at the Garden Apartment was quite wonderful. The apartment itself was warm and welcoming, and so was the neighborhood. Being just a half a block from Central Park, and a few blocks to Fairway Market, and just a block from the 72nd Street subway and bus lines, we had everything we needed. We hope to return next year. Thank you for all your help. Cris and Michael Cullinan'

Scott Bush from Phenix City, USA; December 2010:
'We had a great time. The apartment was very nice. We had to get use to adjusting the heat. There's not a lot of radiators where we're from. The apartment was a bit spartan but it was clean and comfortable. We found the restaurants in the area very good. Transportation was very convenient. All in all it was a very enjoyable time. '

Georgie Osborne from Elwood, Australia; December 2010:
'What a wonderful place to stay. Clean and everything you need and so close to anything you may desire when in NYC. Our stay was SO well organised - thanks so much Veroncia I will be sure to let all my friends know. Georgie & family'

Amanda Pierstorff from Columbia,SC, USA; November 2010:
'Wonderful experience!!! Nothing bad to say. We will be back!!!'

Rachel Wilcox from Dallas, US; November 2010:
'Enjoyed our stay very much. Location was perfect, away from all the activity, yet still in the heart of the city! My husband and I were both surprised that it was so quiet at night. The only thing I would change would be to accept a credit card for the final payment.'

Ronald Lynn from Dixon, United States; October 2010:
'Enjoyed our stay on West side. Location was great. While weather was damp and cool apt was comfortably warm. Also spacious for two. Iron bed had an extremely noisy mattress (crinkly). '

Pam B from Melbourne, Australia; October 2010:
'We had a wonderful time in the Garden Apartment. There was plenty of room for three people and we enjoyed the outside area especially when relaxing at the end of a hectic day. The kitchen was well set up. Security was excellent. The phone came in very handy and the Comfort Inn hotel next door provided internet and ATM access. Communication with Veronica was easy with prompt responses to our questions. Thanks for the fantastic opportunity.'

Charles Geer from Los Angeles, USA; August 2010:
'Veronica was very responsive and helpful. This gave us confidence that everything was on the up and up, which it definately was.The apartment was roomy and attractive, but a bit dark. The patio was a nice touch but could have used some plants. The entrance way in the outside hall needed a fresh paint job.'

Rich Frey from St. Louis, Mo., USA; June 2010:
'Nice place that served our needs, 2 adults and 3 teenage children. Location was absolutely perfect, easy access to Central Park, subway and the general area around the apartment was quiet but with lots of nice shops and restaurants.'

Rose Bridgman from Anchorage,Ak, ; May 2010:
'Everything was great. The location was perfect for my family. Will do this again when I return to New York. My only complained was the upstairs neighbors who tramped across the floor at all hours. I forgot what a great neighborhood your apt. is located. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. Rose'

John Orta from Piedmont, California, USA; April 2010:
'Loved the location of the apartment and it was very clean. Two things in need of improvement: (1) the fact that you need to pay the remaining amount due in cash is a significant hassle. There must be a way to settle up with a credit card; and (2) the bed in the one bedroom is horrible (loud and uncomfortable).'

Jutta from , Germany; November 2009:
'Everything went as promised and we had a wonderful time in New York and the flat. It was really great and we will definitely recommend it. Thank you very much. Thank you very much and have a nice day. Jutta'
