'Hi Christina and Michael,
We enjoyed our stay at W 75th very much.
We found the place clean and super convenient to virtually everything on the upper west side. The kitchen was more than adequate and the small dining area suited our needs. The living room was comfortable and the wi fi worked without a hitch.
The cable TV was basic to a point; we barely turned it on. Also, there was some carping about a sag toward the center of the bed, but then we are used to a very firm mattress. The place was very comfortable for two but three might be a stretch.
We definitely plan to look you up on our next trip to New York.

'We had a great time on W. 75 St. The location can't be beat--Citarella's, Fairway, H & H Bagels, Zabar's all within walking distance, not to mention the subway. The apartment was nice. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen adequate (although some paper towels and napkins would have been nice.) There were some noise issues because it faces the street and is on the second floor but that's New York. One caution: the elevator was out of order for a while and the stairs are steep. Air conditioning works well--we had an early heat wave and did not suffer. We would return.'
Jorge Helft from Buenos Aires, Argentina; April 2009:
'This apt. is very comfortable. Its location is "the best". We really enjoyed our stay.'
lewis Morrison from Clifton Park, USA; February 2009:
'The location was great!'
Ron & Bette Tetreault from Halifax, CANADA; January 2009:
'If you love the Upper West Side as we do, there is no better location than this apartment. And Michael is an outstanding host. No one is more trustworthy (and we've had dealings with many), none has been a better communicator. Kudos Michael, see you next year!!'
Marilyn Miller from Milwaukee, WI, ; December 2008:
'A few waste paper baskets spread through the rooms would be welcome as would written instructions for disposing of garbage/trash/bottles. The location, just off Broadway, is great--convenient to transport, shops, restaurants, wine store, etc.'
Robbi Senderov from golden, canada; November 2008:
'This is a very roomy, very clean, one-bedroom especially for NYC. An excellent location near a plethora of wonderful affordable restaurants and shops. Two blocks from central park, three blocks from subway, within walking distance from many of the great museums and within a block from starbucks for your early morning caffeine fix.
The apartment is sunny and light, again I emphasize, VERY CLEAN. And both Cristina and Michael were very attentive to our requests. I would definitely stay there again.
It does need some maintenance. Many of the lamps do not work well, (i.e. broken bulbs sockets, swivel lamps that have “lost” their swivel—they just droop) allowing light to shed only on the floor. The fold out couch is useless as a bed, the mattress is terrible. But there is an aero bed that is great. Still, I would say this sleeps 2 comfortably and 3 if the third is a young person who doesn’t really care.
The kitchen is great with a dining area. Don’t plan to throw any parties; there are just enough dishes and flatware for about 3, if that. But the kitchen is newly updated and works fine. Anyway I do not want to cook while on vacation. The choice of restaurants is too great. There is a great market, Fairway, less than a block away where you will find anything from great produce to fish, cheese, and toiletries. I don’t know if it ever closes. It is great for breakfast and lunch if you choose to ear here
One last thing, they only provide you with one master door key to get into the building. This is VERY inconvenient and I do think this should be remedied IMMEDIATELY. My 24-year-old daughter was with me and I had to wake up in the early morning to let her in if she stayed out later than I.
But I highly recommend it and would stay there again, if they fix these minor things.

'eine schön gelegene Wohnung in einem ruhigen Haus,
ausreichend Platz,
sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten,
die Nähe zum Central Park ermöglicht viele Spaziergänge,
beste Verkehrsanbindung durch Busse und Subway
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Danke!'
Ellie Dobler from Incline Village, NV, USA; October 2008:
'Very clean comfortable apartment in a safe area and close to stores and transportation. Would certainly rent it again. The only improvement I would like to see is a darker drape in the bedroom since there is a very bright street light across the street. Thank you for sharing your apartment with me.'
Louise Bowen from Melbourne, Australia; October 2008:
'The apartment is perfectly positioned but we found a small collection of disgusting items on the ledge outside the bathroom window (an old bandaid, a clump of hair from a plughole etc). There were no instructions, kitchen towel, salt, etc etc. A well equipped kitchen in terms of equipment is not much use if as a visitor one has to fully stock the kitchen from scratch.'
Jutta Cailloux from Evian, France; October 2008:
'Reminds me a flat I rented years ago in Warsaw, was a pleasant recollection!'
Anna S. from UK, April 2008:
"Dear Christina and Michael,
I just want to thank you for a wonderful stay in your lovely apartment. My mother and I had a great time last week.
Thanks again.
Best wishes,
Anna"
Dan C. from South Carolina, February 2008:
"Dear Michael and Christina--Thanks for being so flexible on allowing
us to park our luggage at the W75th St. apartment. The weather was miserable,
but the apartment was a welcome haven during our 4 1/2 days in the city. It
was perfect--we will be back!"
Renee from Italy, January 2008:
"Dear Michael and Cristina, I had a wonderful stay at your apartment.
It was extremely comfortable and very clean. I look forward to sharing our apartment
in Venice with you!"
Barbara from New York, December 2007:
"Hi and Happy New Year! Sorry for the delay in getting back. I finally
had a chance to ask my parents about their stay at your place. They say it was
fantastic, a very clean and comfortable apartment, and incredibly convenient.
The only thing they mentioned that would have improved their stay at the place
was this: a different curtain. They failed to get the bedroom dark enough to
block street light with the one provided. Everything else was absolutely wonderful.
And thank you for having such a well-organized website, with photos and video
even, and a very straightforward method for checking availability, booking,
and paying. It was leagues beyond other places I found on the web in the same
price range. Thank you!"
Reply: Barbara, thanks for the feedback, we now have curtains and shades!
Anne from Charlotte, NC, November 2007:
"I was delighted with the apartment.
You all were very accomodating about the housekeeping glitch.
Being around the corner from a Fairway was a great convenience. Having the subway just a couple blocks down was great.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you all to my friends -- and I look forward to a return trip soon!"
Sandy from Massachusetts, October 2007:
"Hi Michael, We just got back and I wanted to thank you. Your apartment
is everything you said it was, clean, fully stocked and very conveniently located!!
We had a fabulous time in the city, great thanks to you. I travel to the city
at least once or twice a year and you will always be my first call when I am
looking for a place to stay. Sandy"
